The Civil Engineering Firm of Federici & Akin Engineers,
P.A. was founded in 1981. Federici & Akin (F&A),
headquartered in Washington Township, Gloucester County,
N.J., has grown from a two-person operation into a
multi-faceted, well respected engineering firm.
F&A has always prided itself on providing exemplary
consulting engineering service to all its clients.
We are a Professional Association in the State of New
Jersey authorized and licensed to provide professional
engineering and land surveying services in New Jersey.

F&A currently provides consulting services to a number
of municipal and county governmental agencies including
those in Gloucester, Camden, Salem, & Cumberland
Counties. F&A also provides private consulting services
to a number of developers throughout the Delaware Valley
in the areas of site development, major subdivisions,
public and private utilities, etc.
The organization of F&A includes a strong professional staff of over 30
engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, land
surveyors, deed researchers, computer specialists,
construction managers and inspectors. Our staff
has proven experience and demonstrates skills in the
planning, design and construction management of highway
& transportation systems; wastewater collection and
treatment; water storage, distribution & treatment;
stormwater management systems; and other public
infrastructure facilities.

Surveying & Mapping
F&A also boasts a well-experienced surveying staff. This
division includes two (2) licensed land surveyors who
have participated in or have supervised hundreds of
surveying projects including topographic, outbound,
horizontal and vertical control, construction layouts,
as-built and hydrographic surveys. They have also
gained valuable experience in the use of Global
Positioning System (GPS) surveying for performing
large-scale outbound surveys, traverses, bench runs,
farmland preservation surveys, etc.
Our staff is also knowledgeable in the Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) for municipal infrastructure
mapping with ESRI ArcView Information Management
Software.
